Hey everyone, I got to make this quick!
Firstly, homework updates are in the previous entry; thanks shufen! There's also a survey for the class blog, if you didn't receive it, the original email is at the bottom of this entry. Copy, fill and send it to titu.7@hotmail.com. Thanks!
Secondly, here are the details for Sunday's outing, please tell everyone who wasn't there just now. I know the announcement was pretty vague and there was a lot of confusion, and I genuinely apologise for that!
Outing Details
Venue: East Coast Beach
Time: 3pm, 30th April 2006
Meeting point(s):
People coming at 3, meet at the Macdonalds along East Coast Beach; we'll wait for everyone before we move off, tell Shufen/Celeste if you can't come or will be late (Alex, Rosie, Linh; already noted, if I missed anyone out, I'm sorry I forgot, please tell me again!) Others coming in the evening, give either Shufen or Celeste a call/sms.
Programme:
There will be no swimming! But you can go into the sea on your own accord.
1. Meet at East Coast Macdonalds at 3pm.
2. Basically find a camping spot, move around or play games (in any random order)
3. Go for dinner somewhere at about 6pm
4. Hang around, sing-a-long, star gazing till 11pm (or 12mn latest)
Packing List:
1. Bring 3 litres (two 1.5litres pep bottles) of fresh water. Stay hydrated! And even if you're a camel, bring the second pep bottle anyway for someone else who might need it.
2. Sunscreen or tanning oil
3. Caps
4. Change of clothes (you may get wet from water bombs)
5. Basic first aid (plasters, antiseptic, allergy medicine)
6. Wear something comfortable! Choose sensible footwear (sandles, slippers if you don't mind playing soccer in it, shoes if you don't mind sand).
7. Backpack to carry water and other extras when we move around
8. Snacks (for yourself and other people, if you want)
9. Camera
10. Volleyballs, soccer balls, frisbees, kites, etc. And any other random thing that comes to mind!
11. Money for dinner and bike rental
12. Picnic mats (if you have, just bring)
Extra instructions:
1. Alex or Mingsheng will be bringing the guitar, if you want to recommend songs for the sing-a-long, pass me the songsheet with guitar tabs by thursday (via email) or friday (in person). I'll compile and photocopy some for us to share!
2. Anyone who can volunteer a tent, please come tell Celeste, so we can decide who's bringing.
3. Some people please bring a small lock for the tent (tell me, so I know someone's bringing)! It can work like a locker, but we're looking for better, affordable alternatives.
Survey
Hello everyone!
The class blog has been up for a while now and during that time, it has undergone one skin change, featured several photos and more importantly, guided us with our homework and served as a reminder for deadlines.
Now, we need to know what you think about this blog so that we can improve it further. So take some time to consider the survey questions below carefully (whatever you say does matter in the long run) and help us identify any shortcomings, strengths and improvements we can make to the blog. Also, throw in a couple of comments about any class-related event while you're at it, if you have any!
Do the survey honestly, seriously and put some effort into your answers.
1. How often do you visit the class blog?
2. What do you like about the blog?
3. Do you find the class blog relavant or useful?
4. Is there anything on the blog that upsets or irritates you (e.g. language, encroaches on your privacy, etc.)? If yes, why?
5. What theme/ideas would you like to suggest for the blog skin?
6. Would it be useful if we gave everyone in class access to the blogger account and the freedom to update it as and when they please? Do you have a blogger account?
7. If everyone had access to the class blog, what do you think it should be used for (apart from homework updates)?
8. Would you like to see anything else on the blog apart from homework updates and pictures?
9. Do you have any suggestions or ideas to improve the class blog further?
10. Any other comments?
Send your replies to titu.7@hotmail.com preferably by Sunday, 7th May. Shufen and me will handle your answers in an objective fashion (we won't bitch, go into depression, or ostracise you just because you pointed out a fault, or said something mean) and this information will be treated with strict confidentiality (i.e. no leaking; it stays with just Shufen and me).
Thank you for your time!
Celeste and Shufen
Ps. I know everyone's bogged down by a lot of work (I know the feeling) but treat this like a stress reliever away from your work rather than as a task you've got to mark off your To-Do List.

Celeste here! Okay, I edited the homework list again to update the deadlines mostly. For the ones with an asterisk (*) behind them, these are the footnotes:
*Econs homework: I'm not really sure about the details but so far, I think the Pg9 one requires a full answer while the Pg10 one's just an essay outline. TELL ME IF THIS IS WRONG.
**PI 2nd Draft: Remember to send a soft copy to Ms. Lim's gmail (lim.siewyee@gmail.com). Font size 12, Times New Roman (prefarably), double line spacing. Use the template provided on Col@c.
Oh yeah, I'll upload friday's pictures asap into another entry. By the way, if anyone wants me to send them the zipped folder with all the photos (for 1T19 and/or 1T27), sms me with the order.
Regarding CIPFor the coming week, don't expect any new updates about the CIP project or other upcoming class projects (unless it's urgent, eg. Campland/NYAA-related), all of them have been put on hold till our CAs are over.
The whole class has signed up for Campland, that's what I heard. If you haven't, try to get Ms. Lim or Mr Tan Ho Teck to change your NYAA option form. This is because, like Yongxian said (or maybe it was Jeff...), if you sign up for Campland, you've got your CIP section settled, as opposed to the CIP project which isn't approved yet. Yup!
The Treasure Hunt Project is not scrapped! I'll talk more (and more and more) about this when our tests are over. It would be a waste to drop the project totally since it does have alot of potential. Plus, think about the extra CIP hours and
prettier testimonials! This will all be explained further next week, possibly next monday, if I can clear/catch up with everything.
Till then, take care everyone and all the best with your PIs, GPPs! Make them shine, I'm sure you can! If you guys can come up with all sorts of wisecracks during class for the teachers, I'm sure a Band 1's a possibility too.
